KPS is joining schools, preschools, nonprofits, and local food enthusiasts in celebrating Farm to School Month by competing in a nine-State Crunch Off competition! North Dakota is competing against Colorado, Montana, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming to determine who will be crowned the Mountain Plains Region Crunch Champion through having the most crunches into local apples or produce per capita. Our “Crunch Off” will take place on October 31st. We are inviting students, staff or community members to bring in locally grown apples for us to “crunch”. Apples can be dropped off at the school office. If you know what variety of apple you are donating, please include a note with that information. Thanks so much!
