It is with deep sadness that we share the news about the unexpected passing of Christy Smith, a cherished former Pre-K and Title teacher at Kulm Public School. Christy was not only a dedicated educator but a true pillar within our churches, school, and community. Her impact on the lives of her students and colleagues is profound, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and inspiration that will never be forgotten.
Christy’s heart overflowed with love and care for everyone she encountered. She was known for her boundless generosity, always going above and beyond to ensure her students felt supported and valued. Christy had a unique gift for making lasting impressions on her students, inside and outside of school. She went above and beyond for every child in her life. From teaching them at school, to guiding their faith at church, the memories she created and the lives she touched will be cherished forever.
To her colleagues, Christy was more than a teacher; she was a beloved friend. Her warmth, laughter, and bright light lifted spirits and brought people together. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy, not only as an educator but as a treasured member of our Kulm Public School family. Christy’s spirit will live on in our hearts, reminding us to approach life with the same love, kindness, and selflessness she embodied every day. Rest in peace, dear Christy. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
